My Story
The inspiration for Japan Local Lab comes from a lifetime of movement. Having traveled to over 30 countries and lived in 6 different nations, I spent seven years navigating diverse cultures and landscapes around the globe.
Those years abroad gave me a priceless gift: perspective.
Distance made me realize just how extraordinary Japan truly is, not just for its famous landmarks, but for the subtle, cutting-edge, and deeply soul-stirring details that often go unnoticed by the casual visitor. After returning home, I felt a calling to rediscover my own country with the same “explorer’s heart” I had while living overseas.
Now, I am on a mission to explore the hidden layers of Japan and share those discoveries with you.
